The true potential of RAST has become apparent with the development of the TRINITY RS acro-glider
For the first time ever we have an acro-glider with EN-certification:

  • with normal loading, the TRINITY RS is the perfect freestyle wing,
  • which with high wing-loading becomes a classy acro-competition glider.

 

 

The RAST system in the TRINITY has three unbeatable advantages, which no other acro-glider on the market offers!

 

 

The RAST system in the TRINITY RS is of interest in terms of safety:

 

Collapses and front stalls fall within the certification limits. The special construction method used for the TRINITY RS means the risk of line-overs, twists and front rosettes is noticeably reduced.

 

Much more important! … the RAST system in the TRINITY RS makes it possible to fly manoeuvres which are not possible with a conventionally constructed glider!

The RAST system means that there is a delay before the rear section empties: the air remains in the canopy for longer on dynamic manoeuvres and momentum is not lost. This makes transitions more fluid, more dynamic and much easier to fly. New combinations are available to the pilot as a result of the high internal pressure, because a centred heli can be flown from almost any position without having to start it first by way of a stall. So, for example, it is possible, if the glider is still under the pilot, to start a heli from a dynamic full stall and go into the heli without any transition. Or a pilot can simply send the TRINITY RS out of a heli and immediately go into a SAT, without the glider briefly having to gain momentum.

 

Thanks to RAST, the TRINITY RS reacts to pilot input without delay

… and with surprisingly little control travel, but without the pilot being at risk of an unintentional stall. In doing so, the buffer section reliably takes on the damping function when exiting from dynamic manoeuvres and problems, and this has opened the door for EN-certification.

Technical highlights of the TRINITY RS

 

  • patented technology for the first time in an acro glider: RAST makes new manoeuvres possible and reduces the risk of front rosettes, major line-overs and unintentional emptying
  • profile morphing: a fast, nearly symmetrical profile in the centre, which flows smoothly at the wing tip into a wide very soft profile. This makes the glider less sensitive to pilot errors and the heli can always easily be centred.
